To start shopping with Croissant, install one of Croissant’s browser extensions and shop at any supported retailer. The extension helps you see value as you browse and automatically saves items to your Collection.
1. Install the Croissant extension
Croissant works through browser extensions that surface value while you shop:
Safari for iOS. (requires the Croissant iOS app)
Once installed, the extension just need to be activated on supported retailer sites in order for Buybacks to be added to your collection (Buybacks are added after a checkout is complete).
2. Shop anywhere Croissant works
As you browse, the extension will:
Show your item’s buyback value
Let you know whether Croissant supports the retailer
Display helpful context about value, pricing, and eligibility
This gives you transparency into the value of the things you’re considering before you buy.
3. Activate Croissant at checkout
When you’re ready to purchase:
Click to activate Croissant at checkout (note that you can activate at any point in the shopping journey but you need to activate on each site while you are shopping).
Complete your purchase normally on the retailer’s site
Once activated, Croissant automatically adds the item to your Collection after your purchase is confirmed.
4. View your items in your Collection
Your Collection is where everything you buy through Croissant is automatically saved. From here you can:
See what you’ve purchased
View each item’s buyback amount
Resell items whenever you’re ready
Access item details and history
Croissant keeps everything organized so you don’t have to track anything manually.
5. Resell when you’re ready
Whenever you want to resell an item, you can start the process directly from your Collection. Croissant handles the pricing, shipping labels, and authentication — making it simple to turn items back into credit.
