A buyback is a guaranteed resale price that Croissant commits to before you even buy an item. When you shop with Croissant, every eligible purchase comes with a buyback value locked in — so you always know what you can get for something before you decide to buy it.

How Buybacks Work

  1. See the value before you buy — The Croissant extension shows each item's buyback value as you browse supported retailers.

  2. Your items are tracked in your Collection — After you check out with the extension active, your purchase automatically appears in your Croissant Collection with its buyback value saved.

  3. Sell when you're ready — When you're done with an item, ship it back to Croissant using our free prepaid label. Once it passes quality review, the buyback amount is credited to your Wallet as store credit.

How to Earn Buybacks

There are two ways to add buybacks to your Collection:

  • Shop with the extension — Activate the Croissant Safari (iPhone) or Chrome (desktop) extension before checking out at any supported retailer. Items are added to your Collection automatically after purchase.

  • Import past purchases — Already own eligible items? You can import them via Gmail Sync or add them manually. Eligible imported items will receive a buyback value and become available to sell.
