Extension Not Working?

What to do if the Croissant extension isn't showing up, or disappeared while you were shopping.

If the Croissant extension isn't appearing, a few quick checks usually fix it. Start here.

First, make sure it should be showing

The extension only appears when you're on a supported retailer and viewing an eligible item — generally clothing and accessories priced around $100 or more. If you're on an unsupported site or an item that doesn't qualify, the extension won't show, and that's expected. See What items qualify for buybacks? and What brands & retailers are partnered?.

The extension isn't appearing (Safari, iPhone)

If you're on a supported site viewing an eligible item and still don't see it, your permissions may need a check:

  1. Go to Settings → Apps → Safari → Extensions → Croissant.

  2. Turn Allow Extension on.

Under Permissions, set All Websites to Allow.

Croissant needs access to every website to show buyback values across all supported brands — but it only ever reads basic item details on supported merchants. More on what it can see: How to Set Up the Croissant Extension.

It disappeared while I was shopping

Sometimes the extension slides away while you browse. To bring it back:

  • Refresh the page — it should reappear as a small popup within about 5 seconds.

  • Open your cart — if you have an eligible item in your cart, going to the merchant's cart page will trigger the extension to slide up.

  • Check for another active extension — activating a different shopping extension on the same page can deactivate Croissant. Close or turn off the other one, then refresh.

  • On Chrome (desktop), click the puzzle-piece icon in your browser toolbar to open the extension directly.
