How Referrals Work | Croissant Help Center

Referrals are a way to share Croissant with friends and earn credit when they join. Give a friend your code, and when they use it you each get a $50 Credit Drop. Referrals are in the Croissant app (they aren't on croissant.com).

Find your code

Your code appears after you do any one of these: sync your Gmail, shop a partner brand with Croissant, sell a piece, or join Premium. After a Gmail sync, your code can take a few minutes to appear, and you'll get a You've unlocked referrals notification when it's ready.

To open it, tap the ⋯ menu at the top right of Home ①, then Referrals ②. You can also find it in Account Management, under Referrals. Your code is at the top of the Referrals screen ③.

If you haven't unlocked a code yet, the Referrals screen says Unlock your referral code and lists the four ways to get one.

Share your code

On the Referrals screen, tap Copy ③ to copy your code, or tap Share code ④ to send a message that includes your code and a link to download Croissant. The message tells your friend they'll get a $50 Credit Drop toward an order of $250 or more.

Your friend uses your code

Your friend downloads Croissant and enters your code. They can do it in two places, and each person can use one referral code (their own code won't work).

When they sign up: on the last screen before the app opens, they tap Have a referral code? Enter it here. ①, enter the code, and tap Apply code ②. The screen then shows $50 referral credit added ③.

Any time later: they open Referrals from the ⋯ menu, tap Have a referral code? ① at the bottom of the screen, enter the code, and tap Apply code ②. Their $50 Credit Drop is added to their Wallet ③.

You get your $50 Credit Drop when your friend's code goes through.

How the credit works

Both Credit Drops work the same way:

Minimum order: $250.
Expires: 30 days after it lands in your Wallet.
Where to use it: partner brands and retailers. It's a Flexible Credit Drop, so it isn't tied to one brand.

How much you can earn

By default, your code earns up to $100 (two friends at $50 each). Your earnings ① on the Referrals screen shows how much you've earned, and How your credit works ② shows the terms above. When one more friend will reach the limit, the screen says so ③. Once you've earned the full amount, your code retires ④: it's marked Complete, and a friend who tries it sees This code is no longer active and doesn't get a Credit Drop with it. The credit you've earned stays in your Wallet.

Some codes can have different amounts or limits. The amounts on your Referrals screen are the ones that apply to your code.

If something doesn't look right

I don't see a code. You get one after you sync Gmail, shop a partner brand with Croissant, sell a piece, or join Premium. After a Gmail sync it can take a few minutes.
"We couldn't find that code." Check the code and try again.
"That's your code." Enter a friend's code instead.
"You've already used a referral code." Each person can use one referral code.
"This code is no longer active." That code has earned its full amount, so it can't be used any more.
