Packaging Best Practices

How to best package your items for a safe arrival

To ensure your items arrive safely, Croissant requires all shipments to be securely and carefully packaged before sending them in. Croissant is not responsible for items that arrive damaged due to improper packaging.

General Packaging Guidelines

All items should be packed securely. If you’re sending in bags or shoes without a shoebox, make sure they are well protected and wrapped. Any accessories belonging to the item (such as straps, dust bags, or inserts) should be attached or packed close by.

  • A common best practice is placing each item in a protective bag before boxing in case damage is incurred to outer packaging layer.

Shoes & Accessories

  • Shoes—especially those with heels—should be placed in the center of the package, surrounded by other items or protective wrapping.

  • Avoid placing shoes or sharp accessories on the outside of a package, as this can cause puncturing or transit damage.

Using Recycled Boxes

If you reuse a shipping box, please reinforce it with additional tape around all seams and edges.

  • Recycled boxes may already have wear from previous shipping. If a box arrives damaged or opened and items are missing or damaged, Croissant is not liable for those items.

Using Poly Mailers

If using a poly mailer, do not overfill it. Overfilled mailers can tear or open during transit.

  • For safety, shoes and accessories should always be shipped in a box, not a poly mailer.
