Why was my retailer coupon removed when I checked out with Croissant?
Some retailer promo codes can't be combined with Croissant. These restrictions are set by each merchant's checkout system and promotional policies — Croissant can't override them.
I didn't complete my purchase, but I see a charge.
That's an authorization hold, not a completed charge. You're only charged if you finish the purchase on the retailer's page. If the order wasn't completed, the hold drops off your account in 5–10 business days, depending on your bank. More on how this works: How to Use Croissant at Checkout.
Why is my hold higher than my cart total?
When you check out with Croissant, we place an authorization hold for your order total plus 10% to cover tax — this only confirms funds and is not your final charge. Your exact tax is set once you complete your order with the retailer; you're then charged that actual amount (usually less), and it's never more than the hold. Anything held above your final total is released back to your account. More on how holds work: How to Use Croissant at Checkout.
What if I don't have a Croissant account?
No problem — when you choose Continue with Croissant at checkout, you'll be prompted to log in, or to quickly create an account. Once you're set up, you'll head back to the authorization screen and your cart to finish your order.
