In order to use your credit, you first need to convert it into a gift card. Then, there are two ways to redeem your credit:
Step 1: Convert your credit to a gift card
Open the Croissant app on your iPhone.
Go to your Wallet.
Select the retailer you want to shop at (e.g. Revolve, FWRD, Nordstrom).
Tap Convert to Gift Card and confirm the amount.
Your gift card code will appear in your Wallet, ready to use at checkout.
Once converted, you can use the code in two ways:
Option 1: Use the Croissant extension
You don't need the extension to use your credit — but it makes the experience much more seamless.
What the extension does:
Automatically detects when you're on a site where your credit can be used
Shows your available wallet balance
Surfaces your credit code so you can paste it at checkout
Where it works:
Chrome extension: Desktop only
Safari extension: iOS only (installed through the Croissant app)
Important: The extension works on the retailer's website only. It does not work inside a retailer's mobile app (e.g. the Revolve iOS app). To use your credit within a retailer's mobile app, use Option 2 below and paste your gift card code manually at checkout.
Option 2: Use your credit without the extension
If you prefer not to install the extension:
Open the Croissant Wallet in the iOS app
Copy your gift card code
Paste it directly into the gift card or promo field at checkout on any eligible retailer's website or app
This works the same way — you'll just retrieve your code manually.
Where credit can be used
Your credit can be redeemed for a gift card at partners such as Revolve, FWRD, Nordstrom, and more. All redemptions are done in the Croissant iOS app.
Troubleshooting: My gift card code isn't working
If your gift card code is showing as invalid or being declined at checkout, here are the most common causes:
You're shopping in the retailer's mobile app — Gift card codes must be entered on the retailer's website, not their app. Try completing your purchase on a browser instead.
The code was entered incorrectly — Copy the code directly from your Croissant Wallet rather than typing it manually to avoid errors.
The gift card field is in the wrong place — Some retailers have a separate "gift card" field distinct from "promo code." Make sure you're entering your code in the right box at checkout.
The gift card has already been used — Check your Wallet to confirm the remaining balance.
