How to Use Croissant at Checkout

When you choose to pay with Croissant at checkout on a Shopify store, you’ll earn 10% back on your entire order. Your 10% comes back as credit, which you can use toward your next purchase at any of our supported merchants.


How it Works

  1. Select Croissant at Checkout

    Choose our payment option during checkout on the merchant’s Shopify store.

  2. Enter Your Payment Details
    Add your card information as prompted. We also offer express payment options through Apple Pay or Google Pay.

  3. Card Authorization (Not a Charge Yet!)
    We will authorize your card for the total amount of your order.

    • This means we verify that funds are available.

    • You are NOT charged at this stage.

  4. Complete Your Order Through Shopify
    You must finish placing your order on the merchant’s Shopify checkout page.

  5. Card is Charged After Order Completion
    Your card is only charged after you successfully complete the order with the merchant through Shopify.

  6. Earn 10% Back
    Once your order is confirmed, you’ll receive 10% of your total checkout amount back as credit in your account.


What Happens if I Don’t Complete My Order?

If you:

  • Close the checkout page

  • Decide not to place the order

  • Abandon your cart

You will not be charged.

Since we only authorize your card (and do not capture the payment), no charge is completed unless you finalize the purchase through Shopify.


Who handles my order?

After you place your order:

  • The merchant handles:

    • Order confirmation

    • Shipping & fulfillment

    • Returns & exchanges

    • Refunds

Croissant only processes the payment and rewards your 10% credit. For any questions about your order status, shipping, or returns, please contact the merchant directly.


When will I receive my 10% credit?

After your order is successfully completed through Shopify, it typically takes 45 days for the shopping credit to become available in your account balance. This period exists to accommodate for any changes to your order such as: returns, exchanges, or exclusions.

We will email you when your credit becomes available for use and you'll be able to see your updated account balance in your Wallet with the iOS app.
